Lacee Hunter (Agee) born in Beech Grove, Indiana grew up loving all sports, but volleyball was her favorite. She had an impressive HS career, leading the state in ‘Blocks’ and ‘Kills’ her Jr. and Sr. year and a handful of conference and county awards. After HS she moved onto collegiate level volleyball. Starting @ Danville Area Community College (NJCAA DII)(2x MVP) and Brescia University (NAIA DI). During college she earned various All Tournament awards, Co-Captain awards, and team MVPs. In 2010 Hunter transferred to Indiana University to focus on finishing her undergraduate at the IU School of Education. But before even finishing college, Hunter began her coaching career (Fall 2011). For the next several years she developed her leadership skills as the MS volleyball coach and coordinator of intersession camps and clinics for elementary/beginner levels. Over the years she also coached Track and Field (2012-2022) and Varsity Swimming (2015-2018). In 2012, only her 2nd year coaching, Hunter led her team to winning an all conference trophy (this was the first of many in her coaching career). Over the years, Hunter served as both Assistant Varsity and Head Varsity Volleyball Coach @ Beech Grove High School (2015-2022). As head coach she started the first ever feeder travel club teams “Hornet Elites”, managed the annual Youth League, and organized the Semi Annual Development clinics/camps. Hunter is also a certified IHSAA and USA official. She has most recently taken on leadership as the head volleyball coach at Cardinal Ritter High School.
It was also during this time that Hunter was developing her career as a passionate educator and more importantly starting a family. A life altering event in her classroom in 2023 gave the opportunity for God to work. Her career that centered around teaching and mentoring young people got a new focus. Hunters Sport inc. is a family business that has all of the loves of her life combined: Family, Teaching, Sports Training, and Mentorships. She is so excited to continue a career of virtue, but this time the court is her classroom.
